About Department

The Civil Engineering department is housed in a double storied building with a 936.45 sq. meters area. Department consists of eight laboratories, all are well equipped and spacious. The fluid mechanical lab is housed in a separate building and is used by both Civil and Mechanical Students and Faculty.
The department is providing testing services for building materials for the last two decades. All departmental professors are offering  R.C.C. design checking services. The Head of the civil engineering department is working as technical sanction authority for all civil works of Shri Tuljabhavani Temple Trust, Tuljapur.

Students of this department taking an active part in various competitions, technical events, sports, and extra-curricular activities. In civil engineering, practical work experience to the students is offered by the way of site visits, In-plant training, and various field internships. Competitive examination guidance has been offered to the students by expert professors and alumni working in this field. Regular students are motivated to be successful in GATE, MPSC, IES examinations.

Students of this department appear for one online course of 4-12 Weeks of Swayam NPTEL in one year. Expert knowledge of past alumni and other experts in the field of civil engineering is being shared with students by online webinars/seminars. Students participate in celebrating various days of national and international importance. The final examination results of students are in the range of 85-100%. The department has a rich tradition of alumni participation in the development of students and faculty. Campus interviews have been arranged for final year students with prestigious companies and organizations.

Civil engineering is an age-old profession and mother of all engineering branches. It plays a major role in the development of the country by the way of raising infrastructure essential for national growth. I assure you about the best technical inputs and skills required to be learned in the civil engineering course will be offered by our experts and senior faculty. The employability of students is a major concern of the civil engineering department. Personality development is achieved by inculcating the skills-communication, cooperation, teamwork among the students. This department is providing a PG course in water resource engineering of two years duration for advanced learners. UG and PG students undergo field projects solving the problems of industries and society. I welcome to you the civil engineering department for a bright and assured future.

The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering degree program is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and offers Choice Based Credit System education. In addition to core courses, students can opt for discipline specific elective subjects, open elective subjects from different institutes of the University. In addition, this program is uniquely designed to increase the employability and to prepare students to work in a Multi-disciplinary work environment. The program offers Major degree in Civil Engineering and is open to students opting for minor specializations as per their interests.
